Hi all,
Ok, I’m pretty happy with where things are now. The Gallery still needs some tweaking, and maybe a new banner here, a new logo there, some new colors here and there…but otherwise, I’m starting to lock down features and my site security.
Let me know if there’s anything particular additions or tweaks you’d like.

Happened to visit the old site just before you pulled it. I needed to grab our logo–which I did–just in the nick of time. The new site looks very clean and pristine. Will look forward to its development. What about the “members” of the old site? Will their membership get migrated, or are they on their own? In any case, we have migrated on our own.

Glad you’re enjoying the new look. I’m going for a more clean, simple, shibumi user experience, and hopefully this will foot the bill. I didn’t migrate the user database over from the old site, largely for the same reasons we’re abandoning the old site: bloat. There were quite literally hundreds of users on the old site, but our little organization here has moved on from that hulking monstrosity it used to be. New times, new people, new site….

I posted a couple of pics in the Tyrolean Traverse thread.
It looks like linked images are truncated.
The text was chopped off too, it didn’t get auto wrapped.
I re-sized the pictures to 5 X 3.75 and they fit no problem now.
Hmm, this is a function of the site’s actual column design, with the forums not quite fitting in the center column. I’ll fiddle around a bit, but this might not be an insta-easy fix. Might take some coding. Stay tuned, and thanks for the heads-up.
Ok, it took some work, but I think I might have fixed the “smushed” forums. Let me know what you think/how they work. J.
